What we use and why
We use your email, account details, photos, generated previews, usage records, IP-related security information and enquiries to provide the service, manage allowances, answer you and prevent misuse. For services you request personally, our legal basis is performing our agreement or taking steps at your request. For business contact details and security, it is our legitimate interests in serving business users and preventing abuse. Studio requires an email and an uploaded photo.
Registration does not trigger sales outreach. Customer photos and results are not used to train AI models. Portfolio, social media or other publicity requires separate permission.
Only upload photos you own or are authorised to use. Avoid identifiable people, documents and sensitive personal details.
Access and international processing
Access is limited to authorised technical and cybersecurity personnel and providers of hosting, storage, sign-in, email, bot protection and image processing.
Our account database is hosted in Sweden and Studio photo storage is configured for the EU. Some providers also process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Applicable safeguards include the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary protections, or an applicable adequacy decision. Contact us for recipient and location details or a copy of the relevant safeguards, with confidential information redacted where appropriate.
Retention
- Photos and previews: available for 72 hours from upload, then access ends and files are scheduled for deletion. Generation does not restart this period.
- Accounts: kept while in use; scheduled for deletion after 12 months of inactivity. You can request earlier closure.
- Completed preview and allowance records: retained for 90 days after completion, then removed during routine cleanup. Service totals that do not identify you may remain.
- Routine security and temporary sign-in records controlled by Aurora: scheduled for removal after 30 days; shorter-lived records expire sooner.
- Enquiries and privacy requests: kept while we handle the request and any necessary follow-up. We retain only the minimum record needed for unresolved complaints or legal obligations, with periodic review.
Account and database cleanup runs daily, so deletion may occur at the next scheduled run after the stated period. Failed cleanup is reviewed and retried.
Necessary records for unfinished tasks, specific security incidents, disputes or legal obligations may be retained longer, with restricted scope and regular review. This does not automatically extend photo availability.
Provider copies have separate rules: sign-in email content and delivery logs normally last up to 30 days; image-processing safety logs may contain content for up to 30 days, or longer for limited legal or safety reasons. Backups follow providers’ deletion cycles. The Studio deadline therefore does not mean every copy is erased at that instant. Contact us for details or deletion assistance.
Necessary browser storage
Cookies and browser storage support sign-in, security and task recovery. Sign-in flow cookies last up to one hour; session/device cookies up to seven days. Saved task pointers remain until sign-out or site-data clearing. A temporary timer for requesting another email lasts for the browser session. Blocking necessary storage may prevent these features.
Your rights
Where applicable, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to legitimate-interest processing. You can withdraw consent for optional uses without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email [email protected]; we may verify your identity and normally respond within one month, free of charge. You can complain to Sweden’s Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
